Biography

Prof. Disna Ratnasekera is a Chair Professor in the Department of Agricultural Biology, Faculty of Agriculture, at the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. She has been recognized as the Most Outstanding Scholar by the University of Ruhuna in 2025. Broadly, her teaching & research focus is on the Plant Stress Physiology, environmental interactions and impact of climate change on crops. Her research is based on high-quality science that contributes to increasing intellectual knowledge of plant function and improving the sustainability through cross-disciplinary research, bridging plant biology, physiology, biochemistry & molecular genetics.
