Biography

Prof. G.C. Samaraweera is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna. Her research covers agricultural marketing, consumer behavior, natural resource economics, product harm crisis management, brand equity, and market information systems. She has conducted comparative cross-national studies on consumer responses to product harm crises in Sri Lanka and China, and has contributed to research on paddy and rice value chains, dairy market behavior, timber demand, and agricultural information dissemination in Sri Lanka.
