Biography

Dr. DLC Kumari Fonseka is a Professor in the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna. Her work focuses on plant biotechnology and tissue-culture-based propagation for crop and ornamental species. She is interested in sustainable production systems, quality improvement of high-value crops, and conservation of plant biodiversity. She teaches and mentors undergraduate and postgraduate students in crop science, propagation, and applied biotechnology. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to translate research into practical cultivation and nursery protocols.
