Biography

Prof. W.G.D. Lakmini is a Professor in the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna. Her work supports crop production and improvement through research, teaching, and academic mentorship. She is interested in sustainable crop management, climate-resilient practices, and improving the efficiency of crop production systems. She contributes to student supervision and the development of field- and lab-based learning in crop science. She values collaboration with farmers and researchers to turn scientific findings into practical recommendations.
