Biography

Prof. A.L. Sandika is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna. His research spans agricultural extension, agribusiness management, agricultural marketing, value chain analysis, food security and price behaviour, and entrepreneurship development. He has published extensively on topics including dried fish and vegetable value chains, dairy sector quality and pricing, tea smallholder farming, agrochemical management, and job satisfaction of agricultural extension officers. Prof. Sandika has made significant contributions to understanding agricultural marketing systems, rural community development, and sustainable land management in Sri Lanka.
