Biography

Mrs. M.K.T.K. Amarasinghe is a Senior Lecturer (Grade Mrs. M.K.T.K. Amarasinghe) in the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna. She holds an MPhil from the University of Peradeniya and a BSc in Agriculture (First Class) from the University of Ruhuna. Her research focuses on the cultivation and management of medicinal and aromatic plants, vegetable crop production, and integrated crop management. She has contributed to studies on vetiver ( Vetiveria zizanioides ) including fertilizer management, potting media, and hydroponic production systems, as well as propagation of medicinal plants such as Salacia reticulata . She contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in crop physiology, post-harvest technology, and agronomy.
