About the Program
The Faculty of Agriculture Mentoring Program is designed to foster a supportive academic environment by connecting students with experienced academic staff members. The program helps students navigate their academic journey, personal challenges, and career planning.
Objectives
- Monitor the progress and well-being of students throughout their academic career
- Provide a bridge between students and faculty management
- Assist students in resolving academic and personal difficulties at an early stage
- Encourage peer support and leadership among students
- Guide students in career planning and professional development
Faculty Mentoring Committee
The Faculty Mentoring Committee is chaired by a senior academic staff member and consists of members from all departments, with each mentor assigned to a specific batch of students.

How the Program Works
- Students are assigned a mentor at the beginning of their first year
- Regular meetings are held between mentors and their assigned student batches
- Students may contact their mentor directly by email or phone during office hours
- Mentors report to the Faculty Mentoring Committee on the progress of their students
- Issues requiring escalation are referred to the Dean’s Office or Student Counselling Committee
